We're here and ready to learn!

Stepping out of the comfort of their own lives, the first of 3 groups of travelers find themselves entering into two weeks of learning Spanish, living with families, and enjoying the culture of central Mexico, in the the beautiful city of Querétaro, capitol of the state of the same name. Each of these adult professionals are educators ~ including one mom and daughter combination.

First off - introduction to the families that hosted them day-to-day. Yolanda and Leticia were wonderful house moms,  reported one. Dora's personality and cooking were incomparable, reported her house guests. "Never having stayed with a family .... a home stay was my biggest fear. But it was great! The families are so sweet." reported another. "Julieta and her family were amazing! The entire family was friendly, welcoming and helpful. She is a true artist with her cooking!" The  house guests were provided lots of opportunities to interact with the extended families, from playing Uno in Spanish to lively conversations with youngsters and oldsters alike.

People-to-people ~ that what it's all about. Even without a common language, we know we are more alike than different. But when you can speak a few words of Spanish ~ doors open, hearts are engaged and you know there's a beginning of a relationship!
